Gutters and Downspouts in Aledo, Texas

Seamless aluminium formed on site, with guards and drainage correction, for homes across Aledo and Parker County.

Where the water goes next

Where the Water Goes After It Leaves the Roof

Gutters get treated as an afterthought until the day somebody notices the foundation soil pulling away on one side of the house. In North Texas that matters more than it does almost anywhere else, because the clay soils around Aledo and Parker County swell and shrink with moisture, and water dumping in the same spot along a slab for a few seasons is a genuinely expensive problem. Aledo Roofing Pros installs seamless aluminium gutters formed on site to the exact length of each fascia run, hung at a working pitch, with downspouts sized and placed for the roof area they actually drain, and discharge routed far enough from the slab to do some good. We also correct existing systems that were installed without much thought, which is most of the ones we are called to look at.

What Gutter Work Covers

Sizing, pitch and discharge are what separate a system that works in a real storm from one that overflows. All of it is itemised.

Roof area and drainage calculationBefore anything is quoted we work out how much roof feeds each run. That decides gutter size, downspout size and how many downspouts a run needs. Undersized systems overflow in exactly the storms they are supposed to handle.

Seamless aluminium formed on siteCoil is run through a forming machine at your house and cut to the exact fascia length, so a thirty-foot run is one continuous piece with no mid-run seams to open up later. Seams only occur at corners and outlets, where they belong.

Correct hanging pitchGutters need a slight, consistent fall toward the outlet. Too little and they hold standing water and mosquitoes; too much and they look wrong and overshoot. We string the line and set the fall deliberately rather than by eye.

Hidden hanger installation into solid backingHangers screwed into the fascia at proper spacing, closer together in valley-fed runs that take a concentrated volume. Spike-and-ferrule systems are not used.

Downspout sizing, placement and securingDownspouts placed where they serve the run and where they do not spoil an elevation, sized for the volume, and strapped so they do not pull away from the wall.

Discharge routing away from the slabExtensions, splash blocks or underground routing so water is released far enough from the foundation to matter. This is the part most often skipped and it is the whole reason the gutters exist.

Valley and roof-to-gutter transitionsValleys that dump into a gutter mid-run deliver a concentrated stream that will overshoot a standard installation. Those runs get diverter treatment and extra hanger support.

Gutter guards where the trees warrant themGuards are worth it under mature oaks and pecans and largely a waste of money on an open lot. We will tell you which situation you are in rather than adding them to every quote.

Fascia and drip-edge repair where rot has startedLong-term overflow rots fascia board. If it has, we address it before new gutters go up, because hanging new gutters on soft wood accomplishes nothing.

Existing system correctionRe-pitching, re-hanging, resealing corners and adding downspouts to an existing run, where the system is sound enough to be worth saving.

How a Gutter Job Runs

01

Measure and calculate

We measure every fascia run, work out the roof area feeding each one, look at where the valleys discharge and check the grade around the house to see where water needs to end up. We also inspect the existing fascia for rot. This is free, takes about half an hour on a typical home and comes with photographs.

02

The written estimate

Linear feet of gutter, number and length of downspouts, corners, outlets, guards if any, fascia repair if needed and discharge routing all appear as separate lines with quantities. Colour is selected at this point from the available coil finishes.

03

Forming and installation

The forming machine comes to the house and each run is made to length on site. Hangers go in, the runs are set to the strung pitch, corners and outlets are sealed, downspouts are hung and strapped, and discharge is routed. Most homes are a single day. We clean up and walk it with you.

Why Our Gutter Work Lasts

Sized for the roof, not the catalogue

Standard five-inch gutter with one downspout per run is the default because it is quick to quote. On a roof with long runs or valleys dumping mid-span, that default overflows. We calculate the volume and size the system to it, and if that means six-inch gutter or an extra downspout we tell you why.

Discharge is part of the job, not an afterthought

Water released at the base of the wall is a foundation problem waiting on a wet season, and in Parker County clay that is not a small problem. Routing the discharge properly is on the estimate as its own line because it is the point of the whole system.

We work on the roof too

Most gutter installers do not go up on the roof. We are already up there, so the drip edge, the first shingle course, the valley discharge and the fascia condition get looked at as one connected system rather than as somebody else's responsibility.

Get the Water Moved Away From the House

If your gutters overflow in a real storm, hold standing water, or empty right at the slab, the system was not sized or pitched for the roof above it. We will measure, calculate and quote it properly.
